A bit of a rant here...

While I understand it doesn't make much financial sense for companies to make all their clothing in petite/regular/tall/plus sizing to cover all the bases, where are jerseys for tall women? It's not just rare, they don't exist... It would be nice to wear something proportioned for a woman (plain colors, no florals thanks) rather than be forced to wear men's clothing (same goes for pants, 34" inseams would be GREAT). How about jerseys that run longer?

As for size charts -- with the exception of Athleta and Title9, I can't even seem to find online retailers who'll state the length (center-back) of their tops. How difficult is it to add length in with bust/waist/etc sizing? It's not fun trying to guess if a particular jersey runs longer, or is just being worn by a short model, then have to go through the hassle of returning it. For example, I'm partial to the Schrader, Betty and Veronica jerseys, no clue if any of them would actually fit.

Wishful thinking I guess. Perhaps one day I'll live someplace where I can have a sewing room and learn how to sew my own jerseys. :?

It's not that hard to do! I make my own jerseys (and swimsuits... and tights...and dresses) for the same reason. I'm not only tall but, um, large. And definitely not man-shaped. I've even tried shorts, but getting the chamois in straight is tricky, so I've gone back to buying them.
If you think you'd like to try it, a sewing machine with a basic zig-zag stitch is all you need. I have the serger, the coverhem machine, the computerized machine, and all the toys... but that's just because I like having toys. (I have more bikes than any sane human being would want.)
If you think you'd like to try it, you can modify a basic zip-neck knit shirt pattern such as is offered by Kwik Sew, or buy a specific cycling jersey pattern such as is offered by Jalie or Green Pepper. I'd recommend starting with a Kwik Sew pattern if you don't have much sewing experience. Their fit isn't great, but the instructions are like a sewing lesson, very clear and easy to follow.

Hi,
I can totally understand your frustration here. I am 6'2" and tall in the torso and legs. For me it has been a lot of trial and error and too much money spent on sending jerseys back that don't fit.
Today, I actually logged on to this site to say how HAPPY I am with my last 2 jersey purchases from Terry. I wore it for the first time today and it is by far, the best fitting jersey I own. It is the "touring jersey" which I purchased when they had the Monday sale for half price. Great coverage and a very comfortable fit. The eurohalters worked well for me also.
I also own a Louis Garneau jersey that I purchased on Team Estrogen...another great fit.
What I have started doing, to save all the postage, is emailing the companies and asking them to send me the front and back lengths. Edna at Team Estrogen was exrtemely helpful. Once you determine the length that works for you, it makes ordering easier and returns less likely.
Now I am in the market for long bike pants, but am afraid I will have to settle for bike "capris" instead. Also keeping my eye out for a long sleeve jacket...may have to settle for a man's version and hope the sleeves meet my wrist.
Anyway....good luck. It has always been frustrating to be tall when it comes to men, fashion and shoes.

I managed to find some jersey's that fit... a 'free-riding' friend of mine told me how her jerseys tend to run long. Found out that Sombrio, RaceFace, Loeka and Dakine all fit -- their mediums run about 27" (front and back are the same length). 25" is the shortest I can wear w/o a gap between shorts and shirt, providing the shorts are not low-rise.

Of the three brands, I like the Sombrio tops the best since they're made of a little lighter material than the other two. Though the other two would likely take more abuse (without ripping) on a hard mountain bike ride if one tends to fall a lot. I haven't tried a Loeka top yet.
